Therapy in Greenwich Village | Stefanie Raccuglia
Constant stimulation, movement, and creative output can make it difficult to remain connected to your internal signals. Over time, stress, emotional overwhelm, or unresolved patterns may begin to feel heavier or harder to manage alone. Therapy offers an intentional pause a space to listen inward, regulate your system, and process experiences at a sustainable pace. I support clients in strengthening emotional awareness, reducing reactivity, and building a deeper sense of internal safety and balance.

Somatic & Movement Therapy
READ MOREYour body has been responding to life in intelligent ways, even when you weren’t aware of it. Somatic and movement psychotherapy helps you recognize these responses and understand what they’ve been protecting. Through mindful attention to sensation and gentle movement, insight develops without pressure. This process supports nervous system organization and integration, helping you feel more regulated, present, and connected from within.
Embodied Coaching & Consulting
READ MOREWhen life or work pulls you in many directions, embodied coaching helps you return to center. Through gentle somatic inquiry, we explore what your system needs to feel grounded and supported. From this place, decisions become clearer, less reactive, and more connected to what actually matters to you.
EMDR Therapist
READ MOREEMDR therapy focuses on how unprocessed experiences shape emotional patterns, beliefs, and physical responses. By working with the nervous system directly, this approach supports healing that feels embodied rather than purely cognitive. Clients often describe feeling more grounded and less reactive in their daily lives.
C PTSD Therapy
READ MOREMany survival strategies that once protected you may now feel exhausting or limiting. C-PTSD therapy supports the slow unwinding of patterns such as hypervigilance, people-pleasing, shutdown, or chronic self-blame. As these responses soften, you may notice more grounding, choice, and emotional ease.
Self Esteem Therapy
READ MORESelf esteem therapy creates space to understand how certain relationships or environments impacted your confidence. We explore how those experiences are held in the body and how they continue to influence your self-perception. As healing unfolds, self-respect and compassion feel more accessible.
Burnout Therapy
READ MOREBurnout often develops when caring for others has come at the cost of caring for yourself. Burnout therapy focuses on boundary repair and helping your body recognize its limits. As this awareness grows, clarity and steadiness begin to replace depletion.
Attachment Therapy
READ MOREAttachment therapy offers a grounded space to understand why intimacy can feel confusing, threatening, or out of reach. By exploring early relational experiences and their impact on your body, you begin to develop a more stable sense of connection and trust.
Therapy Supervision
READ MOREIn supervision, the focus is on your growth as a clinician, not just clinical skill. We explore emotional responses, intuitive reactions, and places where you may feel stuck or unsure. This deepens presence, clarity, and self-trust in your work.

“Stefanie Raccuglia is a warm vibrant soul. She worked with my son for many years using movement to facilitate his own self-expression. In the process, she helped him experience himself as beautiful & talented, and supported me as the parent of a talented neuro-atypical child. She’s made a huge difference in our family’s life.“
LFR, Minister, Group Leader
“Stefanie hosted a ‘Getting Grounded’ Workshop for the Women in Engineering at my company. This was held via Zoom Meeting due to the pandemic. Despite the challenges that virtual meetings present, Stefanie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and creative with her delivery. The content was relatable and allowed for our team to engage from start to finish. We cannot wait to schedule the next workshop!”

“Stefanie works with our agency in a few spaces... she does a group with our care coordinators to talk about client work and support for the care team in what they need to do their best work. She also facilitates a group of our team supervisors. We love the mindfulness she brings to the groups and does a great job holding space for what is needed in each moment. We all love the work Stefanie does and looking forward to continuing with her in 2022!“

“I work for a fast-paced, innovative, and diverse tech company in Los Angeles. Stefanie has facilitated a few classes for our employees and clients. It is enough that Stefanie so intimately understands her areas of expertise and is able to deliver information that not only changes the here and now but truly the future of her listeners - what is more exceptional is how Stefanie can talk to a room full of people and somehow manage to deliver her message in a way that every single person in the room, despite differences, receives it as if they are alone with her in deep conversation. Stefanie's points of view and conviction result in her driving impact every single time she joins us on many different topics.”

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
