Therapy in Long Island City | Stefanie Raccuglia
Rapid growth and constant movement can mirror internal pressure to keep up, perform, or remain productive. Over time, this can contribute to emotional overwhelm, tension, or difficulty feeling settled. Therapy provides a calm, supportive space to slow down and examine how these patterns are affecting your body and relationships. I help clients build awareness, reduce nervous system activation, and develop greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional steadiness.

Somatic & Movement Therapy
READ MOREYour body remembers what your mind may struggle to articulate. Through somatic and movement-based psychotherapy, you explore these memories through sensation rather than analysis. Insight emerges gradually as the nervous system slows and finds stability. This integration of body, emotion, and cognition supports regulation, presence, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Embodied Coaching & Consulting
READ MOREThis work brings compassion into decision-making. By exploring breath, sensation, and emotional patterns, you learn to meet challenges with curiosity instead of urgency. This shift creates space for thoughtful action, sustainable growth, and choices that honor both your goals and your nervous system.
EMDR Therapist
READ MOREEMDR therapy helps untangle automatic emotional and physical responses that once felt uncontrollable. As your system reorganizes how it processes past experiences, reactions become less intense and more choiceful. This work supports increased capacity, grounding, and emotional resilience.
C PTSD Therapy
READ MOREThis work acknowledges how much energy it takes to live in survival mode. C-PTSD therapy helps reduce emotional reactivity by supporting new nervous system responses. As your system learns different ways of organizing experience, daily life can feel less draining and more spacious.
Self Esteem Therapy
READ MORESelf esteem therapy invites curiosity around the beliefs that keep you feeling inadequate or unworthy. We move at a pace that honors safety while integrating emotional and body-based awareness. With time, confidence develops in a way that feels genuine and sustainable.
Burnout Therapy
READ MOREBurnout therapy offers relief when productivity has become tied to self-worth. We explore how these patterns formed and how they live in your body. As your system stabilizes, you begin relating to work and responsibility with more choice and ease.
Attachment Therapy
READ MOREAttachment therapy supports healing patterns that make relationships feel unstable, draining, or confusing. By gently working with emotional and body-based responses, you begin to experience connection as more reliable and nourishing.
Therapy Supervision
READ MORESupervision allows you to examine your clinical instincts with depth and care. We look at what feels unclear, what feels heavy, and what feels alive in your work. This process strengthens your capacity to hold clients with steadiness and confidence.

“Stefanie Raccuglia is a warm vibrant soul. She worked with my son for many years using movement to facilitate his own self-expression. In the process, she helped him experience himself as beautiful & talented, and supported me as the parent of a talented neuro-atypical child. She’s made a huge difference in our family’s life.“
LFR, Minister, Group Leader
“Stefanie hosted a ‘Getting Grounded’ Workshop for the Women in Engineering at my company. This was held via Zoom Meeting due to the pandemic. Despite the challenges that virtual meetings present, Stefanie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and creative with her delivery. The content was relatable and allowed for our team to engage from start to finish. We cannot wait to schedule the next workshop!”

“Stefanie works with our agency in a few spaces... she does a group with our care coordinators to talk about client work and support for the care team in what they need to do their best work. She also facilitates a group of our team supervisors. We love the mindfulness she brings to the groups and does a great job holding space for what is needed in each moment. We all love the work Stefanie does and looking forward to continuing with her in 2022!“

“I work for a fast-paced, innovative, and diverse tech company in Los Angeles. Stefanie has facilitated a few classes for our employees and clients. It is enough that Stefanie so intimately understands her areas of expertise and is able to deliver information that not only changes the here and now but truly the future of her listeners - what is more exceptional is how Stefanie can talk to a room full of people and somehow manage to deliver her message in a way that every single person in the room, despite differences, receives it as if they are alone with her in deep conversation. Stefanie's points of view and conviction result in her driving impact every single time she joins us on many different topics.”

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
