Therapy in Williamsburg | Stefanie Raccuglia
Creative energy and momentum can be deeply inspiring, yet they often coexist with chronic stress, emotional overload, or relational patterns that go unaddressed. Many people move through their days functioning well while carrying tension, anxiety, or disconnection beneath the surface. Therapy provides a steady, embodied space to pause, settle your nervous system, and explore what has been shaping your emotional experience. I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, understanding relational dynamics, and cultivating greater internal stability.

Somatic & Movement Therapy
READ MOREYour body carries information long before words arrive. Somatic psychotherapy invites you to listen closely to subtle physical cues that reflect how your system has adapted over time. Through breath, sensation, and gentle movement, patterns that once felt confusing begin to make sense. As the nervous system slows and finds safety, emotional insight and cognitive understanding come together, supporting a more grounded and integrated healing process.
Embodied Coaching & Consulting
READ MOREIn embodied coaching sessions, we work with both your cognitive understanding and your bodily responses so decisions emerge from steadiness rather than urgency. You begin noticing what depletes you, what restores you, and how your system responds under pressure. This awareness supports choices that feel aligned, sustainable, and rooted in your values rather than driven by external expectations.
EMDR Therapist
READ MOREIn EMDR therapy, we work with how past experiences live in your body today. Certain reactions may feel immediate or overwhelming, even when you logically know you are safe. This approach helps your system update those responses, creating more space between the present moment and what once felt inescapable.
C PTSD Therapy
READ MORELiving with complex trauma often means your system learned to stay alert, guarded, or self-critical in order to survive. C-PTSD therapy gently works with these adaptations, helping your body recognize that the threat is no longer present. Healing unfolds gradually, supporting regulation and stability without overwhelming your system.
Self Esteem Therapy
READ MOREIf you often question your worth or second-guess your choices, self esteem therapy offers space to understand where those patterns began. We work with the emotional and bodily responses beneath self-doubt. As your system finds steadiness, confidence starts to emerge naturally rather than through effort or pressure.
Burnout Therapy
READ MOREWhen burnout sets in, rest alone often isn’t enough. Burnout therapy helps you understand how chronic stress has shaped your body, emotions, and sense of self. By working directly with your nervous system, this approach supports deeper recovery rather than temporary relief.
Attachment Therapy
READ MOREIf relationships leave you feeling anxious, guarded, or unsure of where you stand, attachment therapy offers a gentle way to understand why. We explore how your nervous system learned to protect you in connection. As inner safety grows, relationships begin to feel less activating and more steady.
Therapy Supervision
READ MOREIn supervision, you have space to process the emotional weight that comes with holding others. We explore countertransference, clinical questions, and the instincts guiding your work. This process supports you in feeling more confident, ethically grounded, and attuned in the therapy room.

“Stefanie Raccuglia is a warm vibrant soul. She worked with my son for many years using movement to facilitate his own self-expression. In the process, she helped him experience himself as beautiful & talented, and supported me as the parent of a talented neuro-atypical child. She’s made a huge difference in our family’s life.“

“Stefanie hosted a ‘Getting Grounded’ Workshop for the Women in Engineering at my company. This was held via Zoom Meeting due to the pandemic. Despite the challenges that virtual meetings present, Stefanie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and creative with her delivery. The content was relatable and allowed for our team to engage from start to finish. We cannot wait to schedule the next workshop!”

“Stefanie works with our agency in a few spaces... she does a group with our care coordinators to talk about client work and support for the care team in what they need to do their best work. She also facilitates a group of our team supervisors. We love the mindfulness she brings to the groups and does a great job holding space for what is needed in each moment. We all love the work Stefanie does and looking forward to continuing with her in 2022!“

"The manner in which all things came to a screeching halt in Covid shutdown for my student was mind blowing. She is a TAG, 2E empathic who feels so deeply when in most situations especially given crisis situations. Stefanie's weekly Zoom group meeting to support my student and others alike, was an incredibly helpful experience! She took time for each student, had mindful convos and fun exercises!”

“I work for a fast-paced, innovative, and diverse tech company in Los Angeles. Stefanie has facilitated a few classes for our employees and clients. It is enough that Stefanie so intimately understands her areas of expertise and is able to deliver information that not only changes the here and now but truly the future of her listeners - what is more exceptional is how Stefanie can talk to a room full of people and somehow manage to deliver her message in a way that every single person in the room, despite differences, receives it as if they are alone with her in deep conversation. Stefanie's points of view and conviction result in her driving impact every single time she joins us on many different topics.”

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
